The research group headed by Prof. Shinsuke Tanabe received "Highly Cited Author Award 2005-2009" by "Marine Pollution Bulletin" published by the Elsevier.

The international scientific journal "Marine Pollution Bulletin" published by the Elsevier has selected and awarded the best 50 papers which are highly cited during the recent 5 years (2005-2009). The paper written by the research group headed by Prof. Shinsuke Tanabe of Center for Marine Environmental Studies (CMES), Ehime University also won this award, and Prof. Tanabe received the certificate at "the 6th International Conference on Marine Pollution and Ecotoxicology" held in Hong Kong from May 31 to June 3, 2010.
Dr. Karri Ramu, the first author, has completed his doctoral course in the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University in 2007, and after that, he served as the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers, at CMES. A part of his doctoral dissertation and research results in Global COE won the award this time.
