Dr. Shinsuke Tanabe, Professor, Center for Marine
Environmental Studies (CMES), Ehime University, received the
“Excellence in Review Award” from the Journal of
Environmental Science & Technology. His exploits were
recognized in the journal issued on 1 November, 2007. ES&T
is one of the reputed international journals published by
the American Chemical Society, and widely recognized as a
top-ranking academic publication in the field of
environmental sciences. This journal holds more than 4000
reviewers in its database to ensure the excellence of papers
that appear in ES&T. Among these reviewers, the Editors
nominated the best 24 reviewers who have consistently
provided both scholarly and timely reviews. The Asian/Oceanian
recipients of this award were only 3 reviewers, in which the
recipient from Japan is only Prof. Tanabe.
